Kah 鵜鶘星雲做伙 peh 起來 ê 烏暗結構是啥物? 這个星雲規个看起來,敢若是 一隻鵜鶘,而且敢若欲飛去另外一个無仝鳥仔 ê 星座:天鵝座。 毋閣 鵜鶘星雲 內底是一个去予新形成 ê 恆星 照予光,嘛去予烏暗塗粉 創垃圾 ê 所在。 Kah 薰煙差不多平大粒 ê 塗粉粒 是 ùi 少年恆星 較冷 ê 大氣 做出來--ê、較簡單 ê 碳素複合體,毋閣會去予 恆星風 kah 爆炸 kā 伊吹予散。 正爿有 ùi HH 555 噴出來--ê、足引人注目 ê Herbig-Haro 天體 ê 噴流。 In 去予塗粉包 tī 內底,有 一光年 遐爾長。 這寡噴流會 kā 塗粉 雲柱 破壞去。 咱嘛看會著其他雲柱 kah 噴流。 這張相片 ê 色彩是 為著科學目的漆--ê,主要是欲強調 星雲內底 較少 ê 重元素。 是講星雲主要 ê 成份是較輕 ê 元素,親像是 水素 kah 窒素。 鵜鶘星雲 (包括 IC 5067 kah IC 5070) 離咱有 2000 光年 遠,而且用細台望遠鏡就會當 tī 天津四 ê 東北方揣著伊。

[English] Stars, Dust, Pillars, and Jets in the Pelican Nebula
What dark structures arise within the Pelican Nebula? On the whole, the nebula appears like a bird a pelican and is seen toward the constellation of a different bird: Cygnus, a Swan. But inside, the Pelican Nebula is a place lit up by new stars and befouled by dark dust. Smoke-sized dust grains start as simple carbon compounds formed in the cool atmospheres of young stars but are dispersed by stellar winds and explosions. Two impressive Herbig-Haro jets are seen emitted by the star HH 555 on the right, and these jets are helping to destroy the light year-long dust [pillar][pillar] that contains it. Other pillars and jets are also visible. The featured image was scientifically-colored to emphasize light emitted by small amounts of heavy elements in a nebula made predominantly of the light elements hydrogen and helium. The Pelican Nebula (IC 5067 and IC 5070) is about 2,000 light-years away and can be found with a small telescope to the northeast of the bright star Deneb.
