[漢羅] 彗星 C/2017 K2 (PanSTARRS)
這張闊幅相片是 2022 年 6 月 20 翕--ê。 視野內底 ê 彗星 C/2017 K2 (嘛叫做 PanSTARRS) 就 kah 開放星團 IC 4665、閣有明亮 ê 恆星 蛇夫座 β,做伙出現 tī 恆星滿滿 ê 銀河邊界。 PanSTARRS 這粒彗星,是頭一擺 ùi 太陽系 遙遠暗淡 ê Oort 雲,行到內太陽系來--ê。 伊 5 年前頭一擺去予咱注意著,彼當陣是 2017 年 ê 5 月。 伊是目前為止咱所知影 活動力足強 ê 彗星內底 上遠--ê。 上開始 ê 時陣,伊是 tī 離太陽 24 億公里遠 ê 所在去予咱發現--ê。 彼差不多是 tī 天王星軌道 kah 土星 軌道之間 ê 距離。 Hubble 太空望遠鏡 ê 觀測表示講,這粒彗星有一粒足大粒 ê 彗核,直徑差不多比 18 公里較短淡薄仔。 等到 7 月 14,彗星 C/2017 K2 會行到離地球上近彼位。 12 月 ê 時陣,伊會離太陽上倚。 時到咱就會當用 細台天文望遠鏡 看著伊矣。 咱已經會當看著伊膨獅獅 ê 彗鬚 kah 長-liù-liù ê 彗尾矣。 伊這馬離咱干焦 2 萬 9000 萬公里遠,差不多是 16 光分 ê 距離。

Sī-iá lāi-té ê hui-chhiⁿ C/2017 K2 (mā kiò-chò PanSTARRS) to̍h kah khai-hòng-seng-thoân IC 4665, koh-ū bêng-liōng ê hêng-chhiⁿ Siâ-hu-chō β, chòe-hóe chhut-hiān tī hêng-chhiⁿ móa-móa ê Gîn-hô pian-kài. PanSTARRS chit-lia̍p hui-chhiⁿ, sī thâu-chi̍t-pái ùi Thài-iông-hē khah hn̄g khah àm ê Oort hûn, kiâⁿ kàu Lōe Thài-iông-hē lâi--ê. I 5 nî-chêng thâu-chi̍t-pái khì hō͘ chù-ì tio̍h, hit-tang-chūn sī 2017 nî ê 5 goe̍h. I sī bo̍k-chêng ûi-chí lán só͘ chai-iáⁿ oa̍h-tōng-le̍k chiok kiông ê hui-chhiⁿ lāi-té siōng hn̄g--ê. PanSTARRS tsit-lia̍p hui-tshinn, sī thâu-tsi̍t-pái uì Thài-iông-hē khah hn̄g khah àm ê Oort hûn, kiânn kàu Luē Thài-iông-hē lâi--ê. [English] Comet C/2017 K2 (PanSTARRS)
Imaged on June 20 2022, comet C/2017 K2 (PanSTARRS) shares this wide telescopic field of view with open star cluster IC 4665 and bright star Beta Ophiuchi, near a starry edge of the Milky Way. On its maiden voyage to the inner Solar System from the dim and distant Oort cloud, this comet PanSTARRS was initially spotted over five years ago, in May 2017. Then it was the most distant active inbound comet ever found, discovered when it was some 2.4 billion kilometers from the Sun. That put it between the orbital distances of Uranus and Saturn. Hubble Space Telescope observations indicated the comet had a large nucleus less than 18 kilometers in diameter. Now visible in small telescopes C/2017 K2 will make its closest approach to planet Earth on July 14 and closest approach to the Sun this December. Its extended coma and developing tail are seen here at a distance of some 290 million kilometers, a mere 16 light-minutes away.
