[漢羅] Hale-Bopp：1997 年 ê 大彗星

才無偌久，25 冬前 Hale-Bopp 彗星 踅到太陽附近的時陣，捌 tī 咱 ê 夜空產生足壯觀 ê 景色。 這張相片是共彼陣 ê 原始天文相片，35mm ê 彩色幻燈片，數位化 ê 結果。 這粒是 1997 年 ê 大彗星。 這張壯觀 ê 影像，是佇 1997 年 4 月 1 號，彗星行過 近日點 幾若工後記錄 ê。 這是用 細台望遠鏡 鬥 長焦鏡頭 感光 10 分鐘久 ê 相片，翕 ê 過程攏是手動導星。 落尾翕著 Hale-Bopp 彗星 這兩條 hŏng 印象足深 ê 尾溜：白色 ê 塗粉尾溜 kah 藍色 ê 離子尾溜。 相片內底 ê 離子尾溜伸足長 ê，迒過北天夜空 10 外度遐爾闊。 Hale-Bopp 彗星 去 hŏng 報講，伊是一粒直接用目睭就看會著 ê 彗星。 Ùi 1996 年 5 月底到 1997 年 9 月攏看會著。 Hale-Bopp 彗星嘛叫做 C/1995 O1。 咱這馬知影講，伊是經過 內太陽系 ê 彗星 內底，有上濟 早期太陽系 組成成份 ê 原始彗星。 彗星是 ùi 遙遠 ê Oort 雲 來 ê 人客。 這粒彗星後一擺閣來到近日點，會 tī 西元 4385 年彼陣。 毋知你敢閣會記得 Hale-Bopp 彗星？

[English] Hale-Bopp: The Great Comet of 1997

Only twenty-five years ago, Comet Hale-Bopp rounded the Sun and offered a dazzling spectacle in planet Earth’s night skies. Digitized from the original astrophoto on 35mm color slide film, this spectacular image of the Great Comet of 1997 was recorded a few days after its perihelion passage on April 1, 1997. Made with a telephoto lens piggy-backed on a small telescope, the 10 minute long, hand-guided exposure features the memorable tails of Hale-Bopp, a whitish dust tail and blue ion tail. Here, the ion tail extends well over ten degrees across the northern sky. In all, Hale-Bopp was reported as visible to the naked eye from late May 1996 through September 1997. Also known as C/1995 O1, Hale-Bopp is recognized as one of the most compositionally pristine comets to pass through the inner Solar System. A visitor from the distant Oort cloud, the comet’s next perihelion passage should be around the year 4385 AD. Do you remember Hale-Bopp?
